Sorry for all of the questions, and I appreciate all of the help I've received.  Here's my new question after a long search it seems that the version of saleslogix we purchased doesn't allow us to make processes.  Is there anyway around this we don't even have a default process?  My company only purchases the standard package, because we want to be sure that this is the right system for us before we take the plunge and purchase it for everyone in the company.

Your Business Partner could release a Sales Process for you. You could then use that process. If you are evaluating your SalesLogix System, I would work closely with your business partner so that you know all of the functionality available to you, before you make a decision based on assumptions.
