Will the CRM Market Double?

A Datamonitor report predicts yes.

CRM software is a relatively new product and Datamonitor's analysis finds that the market has not matured.  In the beginning CRM was mainly utilized by large companies but times are changing and companies of all sizes are realizing the importance of CRM.  Obviously many of you know the importance of SalesLogix, I can't imagine my work life without CRM.

"As the increasing number of organizations understand the importance of positive customer experiences and strong customer relationships, the market for customer relationship management applications continues to expand."

I read through the article and found the analysis of the future of CRM, both onsite and hosted, to be quite interesting.  If you would like to learn more, check out this brief article here...

Over here in the UK, we're definately finding that the larger opportunities are few and far between with nearly all projectes we are asked to tender for consisting of fewer than 1000 users, which suggests that while there is still plenty of growth left in the market, the "flagship" projects are pretty much taken already or moving on to full enterprise systems like SAP.

It is interesting what the article says about on-demand as we are finding that it is having relatively little impact on opportunities we come accross; with only the very small companies (with around 10 employees) actually considering on-demand/hosted solutions. With the UK markets heading more towards joined up systems incorporating back-of-house and other business processes, coupled with cheaper and more accessible hardware and infrastructure; on-demand/hosted solutions just don't seem to offer the same long term integration options that in-house systems offer.

About Brianna Tinjum

I am happy to say I love my job! Everyday there is a new challenge and something new to learn, it keeps things interesting. I was very happy when we started Good Training because it gave me an opportunity to help people and share knowledge. Outside of the office I enjoy being active. When weather permits you may catch me riding my bike around the lakes of Minneapolis or hiking in Northern Minnesota. In the winter I get out snowboarding as much as possible and I always try to take a trip to the mountains. I made it out to Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, MT at the end of February 2008 and it was a fantastic time! Year round I participate in dance and yoga classes to mix things up. I love watching movies and you could say I may have seen too many. :) I also have a passion for reading - if I find a good book it can consume all of my free time.
